The much-anticipated film Selfiee, starring Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi, failed to create an impression. On the day of the film’s release, netizens slammed the film and took social media by storm with memes. Taking it a step further, an n anonymous netizen as of late vandalised the movie’s Wikipedia page. They not only changed the title of the film, but they also included nonsensical facts about it on the page.
While the page has been corrected, a screenshot of the previous page went viral on social media. For the unaware, netizens changed Selfiee’s name to Tatti and changed the director’s name from Raj Mehta to Spider-Man. They also edited the names of the producing houses into language that a t toddler would use. A Reddit user posted an image of the page and penned, Wikipedia entries changed for the movie Selfiee. Redditors on the sub-reddit r/BollyBlindsNGossip went crazy when they saw the screenshot. One wrote, “Man, why drag Akshaye Khanna through this shit lol.” Another commented, “Why drag SPIDER-MAN into this let him solve crimes in the neighbourhood in peace lol.”
For the unversed, the film was an official Hindi remake of the Malayalam film ‘Driving License.
