Southern Door’s softball team tallied 35 runs in 10 innings Tuesday when the Eagles swept a Packerland Conference doubleheader at home over Oconto.
The first game lasted only three innings when Southern Door defeated the Blue Devils, 16-1.
The Eagles’ leading hitters included Callie Miller tallying three hits with two doubles and four runs driven in. Chloe Lustila added three hits, and Ashlyn Delfosse recorded two hits.
Delfosse was also the winning pitcher, tossing a three-inning complete game, giving up two hits and an unearned run while striking out three.
The second game went the full seven innings with Southern Door defeating Oconto, 19-9.
Miller also led the Eagles at the plate in game two with three hits and three runs driven in. Delfosse added three hits and four runs scored. Bella Price tallied two doubles and three RBI. Tori Marchant had a pair of doubles and three runs scored. Sophia Counard recorded two hits and three runs scored. Payton Gilbertson and Colbi Jacquet each hit a two-run homer.
Lustila recorded the pitching victory after tossing 5 1/3 innings in relief, striking out three.
Southern Door improved to 8-4 in the conference going into its final two league doubleheaders of the season this week Wednesday at Kewaunee and Friday at NEW Lutheran.

Clippers Shut Out by Bulldogs
Packerland softball leader Peshtigo improved to 12-0 in the conference after shutting out Sturgeon Bay in both games of Tuesday’s doubleheader, 10-0 and 12-0.
The Clippers (1-10), who had a day earlier won against a league opponent for the first time this season with a 10-0 home victory in five innings over Gibraltar/Washington Island, are scheduled to host their final two conference doubleheaders next week Monday against NEW Lutheran and Tuesday against Algoma.
